“To seek the pale enchanted gold…” [The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien]
Wait? Where did that come from?
No, I’m not heading off on a journey to the Lonely Mountain – exciting as that would be! – I’m leaving to spend the summer as the head wrangler at a Christian youth camp! I’ve been doing this for the past five years and I love it! So, since my internet access will be limited to an hour or so on Saturday (I’ll be busy working with horses and playing with kids the rest of the time) I probably won’t be posting on here until August, save for a few random posts here and there as I have time! You never know when I’ll pop in and surprise you! :)
All of us at camp would greatly appreciate your prayers this summer! If you would like to pray, there are some specific prayer requests below:
~ That the campers would come with hearts open to the word of God.
~ Safety for both staff and campers
~ That we would shower Christ’s love upon the campers!
~ That we would honor one another above ourselves and come to camp ready to serve!
~ That we would make the most of every opportunity and have the boldness to present the Gospel at all times!
~ the Lord would do mighty things this summer!
Philippians 2:1-4 “If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.“
I will see you again in August! Fare ye well until then!
