Well, I’m back from an epic summer at camp!
I apologize for the silence around here for the past three and a half months. *shivers* This place has become somewhat creepy…it feels as though I’m walking through a ghost town!
I was so optimistic about my writing goals when I left home for camp – I was going to write on weekends and finish Song of Leira before the summer ended, I was even going to hop over here now and then and leave a post for the faithful few who stuck by through the silence. Unfortunately, I accomplished none of those things.
I did, however, have an incredible summer! At camp, we laughed and played lots of games, I saddled and rode lots of horses, and I got to worship and teach and learn with some incredible kids! :)
Now, I’m back home and trying to sort through a whole lot of writing. I’m two thirds of the way done with a major rewrite for Song of Leira. You can expect an update on Out of Darkness Rising soon. And I’m preparing to attend my first writer’s conference next month! Quite excited…and nervous! There’s so much to do before then.
With all of that going on, it may be a little while before I am able to return to writing regular posts for the blog. However, I do have quite a few funny little stories from this summer at camp… and I thought I might post one from time to time, if anyone is interested!
So, check back in and you might just hear about “The Hunt for the Amarillo Kid” or “Girls Don’t Sweat” or “The Dangerous Truth about Carnivorous Horses (and how to avoid them!)” or “Secret Identity.”
Any sound intriguing?
