Today’s giveaway choice takes place in the not-so-distant future in a galaxy—well, our galaxy, to be honest. On Jupiter, to be exact. Or at least, partially on Jupiter. The planet Jupiter has always fascinated me. I have never quite understood the obsession with Mars, or even the debate over poor little Pluto, but Jupiter, now there’s an interesting one!
And our giveaway book, Jupiter Winds, is no less interesting than its setting. It’s a fascinating blend of dystopian (which is generally an offshoot of sci fi anyway) and space science fiction. In fact, I almost listed it as one of the dystopian giveaways back in January. But the setting, I think, is what causes Jupiter Winds to shift across the line from dystopian to sci fi. But you don’t have to take my word for it, because the author, C.J. Darlington, has agreed to offer a giveaway copy so the lucky winner can decide for him or herself.
(Note: We are unable at this time to ship copies to Jupiter, Mars, or anywhere outside of the United States.)
Enter through the Rafflecopter below, but first, a bit about the book:
Jupiter Winds
In 2160, a teenager becomes the bait to capture her missing revolutionary parents she thinks are long dead. Grey Alexander has one goal—to keep herself and her younger sister Orinda alive. Not an easy feat living unconnected in the North American Wildlife Preserve, where they survive by smuggling contraband into the Mazdaar government’s city zones. If the invisible electric border fence doesn’t kill them, a human-like patrol drone could.
When her worst fear comes true, Grey questions everything she thought she knew about life, her missing parents, and God. Could another planet, whose sky swirls with orange vapors and where extinct-on-Earth creatures roam free, hold the key to reuniting her family?
