Quick reminder: This month’s Characters in Costume Challenge: April Antagonists is due next Friday, April 19th!
We’re focusing on those vile (and perhaps not so vile) villains who populate the pages of your storyworld. So break out those black capes and curly mustaches and prepare your evil chuckles for next Friday.
To find out more about this dastardly challenge, read this post: April Characters in Costume Challenge.

Speaking of villains, I just realized that it’s been a long time since we’ve received a report from our spy at the Academy of Ultimate Villainy. I do hope nothing terrible has nothing. Last time the spy promised to send us a recording of the single most important lesson taught at the Academy. I don’t know about you, but I’m quite interested to find out what that is . . .
Suppose I’ll have to get in touch with my contacts and see if we can’t figure out what’s become of our spy.
Stay tuned for more information. ;)

Yikes… Umm…
I just realized that I can't dress up as my villian. He's – well – not human, and he's a guy (obviously), and I don't have any bone chestplates or boots plated in scales. Is it okay if I post the picture I'm drawing? If not, you can pull me from the challenge.
Thanks! Sorry for making this hard on you!

Sure! That'll work fine. :)

Hello Gillian!
I just wanted to let you know how much I've enjoyed discovering this beautiful blog (I found you through The Tales of Goldstone Wood Blog)! Your post are very encouraging or extremely funny!
I would love to participate in these Characters in Costume Challenges, but unfortunately, I don't have an abundance of amazing attire, at least not fitting to my stories. By the way, I looked at some of your character pictures, and they are stunning!
Like Maria Rod, I'm also wondering if I could participate using drawings in any future challenges? If not, that's totally okay.
And I read your posts on Ultimate Villainy, and I must thank your spy for their risky work to bring such helpful insight into those pesky antagonists! Like you, I hope nothing's happened to the spy. The "single most important lesson" that was announced seems like a bit of a mouse-trap…but we shall have to trust that the villains will not prevail!

I’m not sure how I’ll go about doing this challenge, but please count me in. :-) It sounds like fun! Thank you and blessings to you.
