Things have been quiet around here lately … which generally only happens when things are anything but quiet on the homefront. I promise, I do try not to go dark unless I absolutely must, which is usually caused by exciting things like impossible book deadlines, dreaded pirate attacks, undercover editing missions, and cover designs.
This time, it was the latter two.
Edits.
And cover designs.
So I am thrilled to finally be able to show you the long-awaited cover for SONGKEEPER, book two in the Songkeeper Chronicles. More information – like the delicious back cover blurb and launch team sign-ups – will be coming soon, so don’t go far!
In the meantime, feast your eyes on this!
What do you think? Drool worthy? Thrilling? Get-me-that-book-immediately-so-I-can-devour-it? Whatever it is, I’d love to hear your impression in the comments.
SONGKEEPER is COMING SPRING 2016.

People riding lions, eh? *clicks pen* Yes, I believe I can sign up for that!
Gillian Bronte Adams says
I know, right? I am itching with excitement for y’all to get to read this part of the story. *devious chuckle*
Sarah says
My first thought: YES THERE IS A COVER AND IT IS A THING AND YESSSSSS!
My second thought: What? No griffins? Awwwwww . . .
My third thought: Wut. They’re riding LIONS. And that new girl on the left looks cool; I can’t wait to meet her.
My fourth thought: I’m assuming the man in the middle is Amos? But he does not look like I imagine him. At all.
My fifth thought: I’d read this book even if it had one of those totally ugly-weird covers like some old books have. ‘Cause Amos. And Birdie.
Gillian Bronte Adams says
First thought: Amen, sister.
Second thought: No worries, the griffins are not dead yet!
Third thought: She is pretty cool. I can’t wait for you to meet her.
Fourth thought: Yep, that’s Amos. To be 100% honest, he’s not exactly like I imagined him either. But I love this rendition of him too! Amos can be very blustery and booming and sweet, but he can also be incredibly fierce. And I feel like we’re getting a glimpse of Amos as *SPOILER-IF-YOU-HAVEN’T-READ-BOOK-ONE* Hawkness in this image. As the fierce outlaw and thief he used to be. And that’s one of my favorite things about characters. They are something different to every reader and every artist out there!
Fifth thought: And THAT just makes me incredibly happy. :)
Kendra E. Ardnek says
Wow. Different from the first cover. I am intrigued. I still need to get a hold of and read the first book. Awesome, awesome. Best of luck and amazing cover.
Gillian Bronte Adams says
Thanks, Kendra! Yes, now is the time to read book one. Because when this luverly book comes out, you just know you’re going to want to read it. :) Are my jedi mind tricks working? I’m still practicing.
Tracey D. says
I have yet to read your books, Gillian, but I’ve seen them floating around the blogosphere. It’s only a matter of time before I get my hands on the first one. :D
THIS COVER, THOUGH. Oh my goodness, it’s thrilling! Good illustrated cover art seems to be a rare thing, but whoever did this was excellent.
Gillian Bronte Adams says
Thanks for stopping by, Tracey! I’m so glad you like this cover. Seriously, that just makes my day. I really love this artist’s work. He did the cover for my novella Out of Darkness Rising as well.
Allison says
CONGRATULATIONS!!! It’s soooo pretty! : D
Gillian Bronte Adams says
Thanks, Allison! I do believe I am in love with this cover. :)
Emma Nikki says

Oh my goodness, it’s just amazing!!! I’m in love. Eeeee, this makes me even more excited than I already was for the next book! Definitely need this thing to devour. NOW.
Congratulations, girl. I’m so happy for you!
Gillian Bronte Adams says
*sigh* I have a confession to make. I may (or may not) keep pulling the cover up to look at on my computer screen while I’m working…
It’s distracting … and inspiring at the same time.
Thanks, Christine! I can’t wait for you to read it and to hear what you think!
Hannah says
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!
*reels* *keels* *flops*
That. IS. Amazing.
Gillian Bronte Adams says
Methinks reeling, keeling, and flopping are good reactions. Yes, that is what methinks. :)
Elizabeth Russell says
WOW! I love the font!
Amos isn’t quite as I imagined him, but wow. The lions! The swords! The new character/s…
The cover definitely has a different feel from Book 1, but it looks so exciting! *Can’t wait!*
I devoured the first one so quickly, I’m just itching for the next!
When I was at camp for the staff retreat (which was awesome, by the way ;) , they said that your grandfather, I think, wasn’t doing very well and you had gone to be with your family. I’ve been praying for you!
Gillian Bronte Adams says
I’m glad you’re excited about it, Elizabeth! Can’t wait for you to get to read it. :) Thank you for the prayers! That’s so sweet of you.
Victoria Grace Howell says
Wow the cover looks great! People riding on lions? Very cool! I have Orphan’s Song and it’s on my to-read list! I’ll be reading it in the coming months, hopefully before the release so I can read the next book!

I got Melanie out of bed to come see it….after she was through hyperventilating over it, I had to wipe the drool off my phone ? Now I have to get her back in the bed…she looked at me and said, “…and that’s just the cover! Imagine the BOOK!”
